Founding and Vision
Nice Link Home Furnishings is a privately owned upholstery manufacturer, founded in 1999 by Ms. Echo Yu. After earning her degree in aerospace engineering from one of the most prestigious military universities in China, Echo decided to pursue a career in the home furnishings industry, joining Ashley Home Furnishings as the company’s first country manager in China in the 1990s. The company grew tremendously during her tenure, and after that successful stint, she founded and became CEO of Nice Link, which began as a cut-and-sew provider.
As the demand for value from the American market increased, Echo quickly realized that a sustainable, long-term business would mean providing more than labor alone. With her partner, Mr. Cao HaoQiang, she used her talents and insights to create the vertical manufacturing company that Nice Link is today.
Echo also used this platform to establish the Echo Essentials textile line, hiring a veteran textile designer from the U.S. to design on-trend and highly desirable textiles for the American market. In 2003, the Nice Link upholstery division was created to serve a number of brands around the world, providing them with top quality furniture products that were exclusively created for them. The brand’s launch was the result of many years of perfecting original designs, engineering and quality – a practice that continues today.
Sales & Marketing
Nice Link serves global markets with a U.S.-based sales team led by Jay Carlson, president of sales and marketing. He is a 30-year veteran of the furniture industry who has held several executive positions in the industry. As an expatriate living with his family in Shanghai for several years, Jay has a deep understanding of and network within the ever-evolving furniture industry.
Visitors to our impressive 16,000-square-foot showroom located on the 10th floor of the historic Market Square Textile Tower in High Point, North Carolina, can marvel at the breathtaking 360-degree views of High Point Market and beyond while enjoying meticulously designed vignettes flooded with natural light from the floor to ceiling windows.
